This Is Heaven

I gaze into her radiant eyes,
Perfect reflections of the stars above.
Surrounded by light, we stand as one;
Her hands find consummation in mine.
As the sparks rain down around us
She turns and looks up at the sky,
And as I tenderly draw her close
She melts into my content embrace.
My wistful heart beats ever faster
As my ethereal dreams become reality.
I watch the brilliant colors fall around us,
Feel the cool touch of grass beneath us,
Sense the resplendent sky enveloping us,
And marvel at the angel in my arms
As I realize for the first time:

This is heaven.
